It's been a tough year for most of us and Sizzle Media have been no exception. Although we are an established agency, many web design agencies became victims of the credit crunch as advertising budgets were held back and projects paused.

January 2010 will see 2 new members of staff join our web design team in Manchester, and a further 2 starting in March. We have also been very successful in providing NESTA selected businesses our services, and continue to be one the leaders in providing web design services to businesses awarded Creative Credits in the Greater Manchester area.

NESTA have offered financial support to Manchester-based business via a random draw, aimed at increasing spend with the region's creative businesses The lucky winners receive up to £4k to help develop their brand and business.

We are currently speaking to several companies in the Manchester area, offering them our effective website design and branding services. However, there has been some confusion as to how businesses claim this business grant. After doing some research and speaking directly with NESTA, we can report that the process is relatively straightforward. Once the initial proposal has been accepted by NESTA (the deadline for which is the 27^th of November) the process is then based on the selected creative partner's payments process, which can vary from 50/50, three payments, or however the agreement might be, and must be claimed before March 2010. The business that has been awarded the grant then claims these funds back from NESTA.
